Training week in Cyprus

Did you know that every minute of the day 20 people leave their homes to escape war or terror? World Refugee Day (20th of June, 2019) is a day when we can support and celebrate the strength and courage of millions of refugees worldwide.

Emphasys Centre in support of this day, provided training courses through the Erasmus+ project: ‘DC4JOBS – Digital Competences for new jobs: Young People with fewer opportunities fight unemployment’ to a group of young people who have recently arrived in Cyprus and are trying to build a new future here for them and their families. The training week has reached a successful end, with all participants excited and eager to participate again in a new training course in Autumn. It only encourages us to work even harder towards these projects and reinforces our core belief that ‘Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world’ (Nelson Mandela). It has no age, gender, race or limit.

A huge thank you to the UNHCR Cyprus, the Cyprus Refugee Council and the Help Refugees Work for all their support and the beginning of a fruitful collaboration.
